Wayne Green, better known as Army Wayne, is an up-and-coming young artist who is based out of Kansas City, Missouri. He started making music at just 8 years old when he realized he had a natural talent for it. He kept his passion for music and started writing his own songs as he grew older. In 7th grade he wrote his own song and decided to record it just for fun. This is when he realized his true potential and has had his foot on the gas ever since. His path to the limelight has not been easy. He had a large setback when he was incarcerated and had to completely start over. During his time in the system, he learned a lot about himself and who he wants to be as a person and as an artist. This time helped him put his life into focus and really push forward in his music career. After being released he started to make more music and drew inspiration from Lil Wayne and more artists like him. He found Lil Wayne to be inspiring because of the way he uses his past experiences to make songs and uses his true emotions to help make songs that are powerful and truly reach his audience in a special way. He wants his audience to always be able to walk away with something when listening to his music. Army Wayne released two albums in 2021 titled “The Chase” and “Purpleheart” which are both huge successes.
